On short short stories…

Writing a good story is a challenge. However, writing a good short short story is a different type of challenge by itself. What I am talking about here is really short stories of max 250 words.

Personally, it feels like trying to play tennis in a room of 3-4 square meters. There is not enough space for long, relaxed, large angled movements and the most challenging thing is that the smaller the space is, the faster the ball returns to you when you throw it.

Writing a short short story is painting an image, cutting off some pieces from here and there and let the audience to see the big picture by completing the missing pieces through their imagination. Of course, in order to allow the audience to achieve that, you have to give enough material to them. You can’t expect people to understand what the picture is all about…
